Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of MopMop (the “Platform”), available at mopmop.app, operated by [Your Legal Entity Name] (“MopMop”, “we”, “us”).
1. Who we are
MopMop is a marketplace that connects customers who request household cleaning (“Customers”) with independent service providers (“Helpers”). We facilitate booking, scheduling, communications, and payments.
We are not a cleaning company. Helpers are independent providers. Unless expressly stated otherwise, we do not employ Helpers, supervise their work, or control how they perform services.
2. Eligibility and accounts
- You must be at least 18 years old to use the Platform.
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and login credentials.
- You must provide accurate information and keep it up to date.
3. Services and booking flow
Customers request a cleaning by selecting a location, number of hours, and one or more preferred start times. Helpers may accept by selecting one of the offered start times. Once accepted, the booking is confirmed.
The Platform may display helper availability and limited profile elements (e.g., profile photo) to facilitate matching. Additional details may be shown after booking confirmation.
4. Tasks checklist and scope
Customers may select tasks from a checklist. This checklist is intended to reduce misunderstandings and is not a guarantee of any particular outcome. Helpers agree to make a reasonable effort to complete selected tasks within the booked time.
Excluded services (unless explicitly agreed and supported by the Platform): deep cleaning, hazardous work, moving heavy furniture, specialty chemical cleaning, and any illegal or unsafe requests.
5. Supplies
Unless explicitly stated otherwise, Customers are responsible for providing basic cleaning supplies and access to the premises. If supplies are not available, the Helper may complete only what is reasonably possible.
6. Pricing, fees, and payments
Pricing is generally set as a fixed hourly rate per market, with a fixed number of hours per booking. The Customer’s total price is shown before confirming payment.
- Payments are processed by our payment partners (e.g., Stripe). We do not store full card details on our servers.
- We may charge platform fees. Where applicable, platform fees are included in the Customer’s total price.
- Helper payouts are handled through connected accounts (e.g., Stripe Connect). Payout timing may depend on the payment provider and account status.
7. Cancellations and refunds
Cancellation and refund rules may vary by market and will be presented during booking or in the Platform. In general:
- Customers should cancel as early as possible if plans change.
- Helpers should avoid late cancellations and no-shows.
- We may issue refunds, credits, or adjustments where appropriate, subject to market rules and fraud checks.
8. Arrival confirmation and location checks
The Platform may offer optional arrival confirmation (e.g., a check-in link). This helps reduce disputes and improve reliability. By using the Platform, you consent to such verification mechanisms as described in our Privacy Policy.
9. Communications (WhatsApp and notifications)
The Platform may use messaging channels (including WhatsApp Business API) to deliver booking requests, confirmations, and service communications. You are responsible for keeping your phone number current and ensuring you can receive such messages.
Standard messaging and data rates may apply. WhatsApp and other providers may have their own terms and policies.
10. User content (photos, notes, and messages)
You may provide content such as booking notes or optional “after cleaning” photos. You grant us a limited license to host, store, and display that content for the purpose of providing and improving the service, preventing fraud, and resolving disputes.
You represent that you have the rights to upload such content and that it does not violate privacy or any law.
11. Standards of conduct
Users must not:
- Request or perform illegal, unsafe, or discriminatory services.
- Harass, threaten, or abuse other users.
- Attempt to bypass the Platform to avoid fees (where prohibited by market rules).
- Use the Platform for spam, fraud, or to collect personal data unlawfully.
We may suspend or terminate accounts for violations, suspected fraud, or safety concerns.
12. Marketplace relationship; taxes
Helpers are independent providers and are responsible for their own taxes, permits, and legal compliance in their jurisdiction. We do not provide tax advice.
13. Disclaimers
The Platform is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not guarantee that a Helper will be available or that any particular result will be achieved. To the extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
14. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, MopMop will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the Platform.
Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability will be limited to the amounts you paid to us (platform fees) for the relevant booking, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
15. Indemnity
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless MopMop, its affiliates, and personnel from claims and expenses (including legal fees) arising out of your use of the Platform, your content, or your violation of these Terms or law.
16. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Continued use of the Platform after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
17. Governing law and dispute resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of [Governing law/jurisdiction - e.g., Thailand or Slovakia or Singapore], without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be resolved in the courts/tribunals of that jurisdiction unless mandatory law provides otherwise.
